Week 29: April 2 - 6

Welcome to April!

In Math this week, students will continue their work on multiplication.  We began relating multiplication to repeated addition last week and we will take a closer look at arrays and multiplication sentences this week.  Students will start to work on creating their own multiplication flash cards to take home for extra practice.

In Social Studies, students sketched the shapes of their Fantasy Islands and gave them a name last week.  This week we will work on creating land and water features for their islands, and end the week off with creating symbols and map legends.  I think that the students creativity will really shine in this project!

In Literacy, students will continue to work on Descriptive Writing in class. We will also be working on some Easter Art this week!

Reminder that there is no school on Good Friday (April 6) or on Easter Monday (April 9)! We hope that you enjoy your Easter time together, and that the Easter Bunny finds everyone's house!  Try not to eat too much chocolate!!

Dates to Remember:
Friday, April 6 = Good Friday No Classes
Monday, April 9 = Easter Monday No Classes
Friday, April 27 = Professional Development Day No Classes
